Bonjour
je dois écrire un texte sur le sujet suivant si quelqu'un pouvait me corriger un peu ça serait sympa merci d'avance !!!
What ethical issues have arisen with the advances made in biotechnology ?
Actually, we define biotechnology as the application of the scientific principles and the engineering, in the transformation of materials by biological agent to produce the possessions (=biens?) and the services. It’s a technology based essentially on biology, agriculture, food science and medicine.
In one hand, from a scientific point of view, the biotechnology marks a formidable overhang for the medicine. The made progress allows to save some lives every days. In my view, in medecine the biotechnology doesn’t raise some problems of ethics.
But in the other hand, if we take this raw definition (= definition brute ?) of the biotechnology, this last one seems to be something the evil (=de mal), so formulated (=ainsi formulé)we have the impression that only aim is to produce things and so make money. Except for the point of view of the medicine, in all the other domain the ethical debate is present and masks important economic stakes (=enjeux). Biotechnology, in general and more specifically in agriculture, is considered as a source of economic growth and jobs creation. It ‘s good the proof that biotechnology at the moment in more an economic aim than a scientist.
Among some examples we can show that from an ethical point of view the biotechnology is threatening for our future. The cloning or still the fact for parents to be able to choose of sex, the color of eyes or hair of their child are things totally inatural which would engender grave consequences on the relations between people within (=au sein de) the society.
Actually, the opinions and the researches remain shared between the good and the evil, but for me there are more negative aspects because in my opinion the only positive points at present are the ones facts on the progress at the medical level.
