Martin Luther King was a pacific activist for the civil black rights in United States, he was firmly engaged for racial equality between black and white. « I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character ». He intended to say by his dream that we must judge the men for his qualities and not for his skin's colour, so he doesn't aim only at his children but all blacks. He illustrates apparently the wish to see, in the future, black and white men coexisting in harmony and to live equal.
His dream is on a good way because a black president was elected in the United States, it is the sign of that's mentalities are changing even if it remains a lot of conservative Americans which wonder how a black can be at the head of United States.
Racism and prejudices stay however gifts in the actual society, and prejudices doesn't arrange the fate of the blacks. Indeed, nowadays it's more difficult to acquire a job with a name with an Africain consonance than with a name of pure French stump if we take the France's case. As long as prejudices will be present, the dream of Martin Luther King won't be absolutely fulfilled.
As for me I think that differences between blacks and whites are going to disappear inch by inch, with old rancours. Perhaps that situation will be reversed and, I'm sure, we would like also that the things change.
