Humanist, Chaplin was worried about what took place in Europe. Even so the pressures, the Dictator goes out in October, 1940. Plunged into the war, the United States ask to hisartists to be mobilize. The private life of Chaplin will know finally the peace when he will marry, in June, 1943, Oona O' Neill, whose eight children he will have. In 1947, the war won Hollywood. The FBI hates Charlie Chaplin ! After the second world war he made four more films. Chaplin lived in the United States for forty years but never became an American citizen. "I'm a citizen of the world", he declared. In 1953, because of political and personal problems, he had to leave the United States. He sold his house ub Berverly Hills and then settled in Switzerland where he spent the rest oh his life with his large familly.

Si on parlait d'une femme, ca irait, mais la non.
Dit plutot "dont il est le pere des 8 enfants"
