Merci d'avance!
Price of alcohol could double
I'm going to talk to you about alcohol prices.
Who drinks? Do you find that the prices of alcohol
is raised too much?
In England, the legislation is going to change about the prices of
the alcohol.
Indeed, the legislators want to vote a law which would increase by almost 50 % the price of alcohol
s (ou "drinks") containing a high degree of alcohol.
On the other hand the soft alcohol
s(ou "drinks") will remain cheap and will not be
aimed affectedby this law. (tu veux dire que ca ne concerne pas les alcools doux je suppose)
For example, a bottle of 440 ml of cider which is sold
to 3€30 will be sold from now on
to 7€90.
It's more
of than twice the price. They also want to forbid the offer of " two for one ".
The opinions concerning this law are shared.
The medical professionals welcome well this law because the alcohol diseases represent 3 billion euros a year,
and approximately 400 000 persons are admitted hospital and among 1000 are children under 14. (Il manque des morceaux: pourquoi sont ils admis a l'hopital? )
On the other hand, the Ministers don't agree. OK it will have a positive impact on the problems of alcohol, but the reasonable drinkers will be punishedtoo and will also
bought buy their alcohol
more expensiveat a higher price.
Moreover, in these time of crisis, a supplementary increase
(increase of what?)on the alcohol is unacceptable.
To finish, this increase will have a marginal effect on the harmful drinkers who want to have a place in the society and who will be ready
for everything to continue to drink.
QUESTIONS:
1)
Are Doyou agree, drinker or not, of this increase on the alcohol?
2) Don't you think that it could be a good way to decrease the alcoholism?
3) And for young people, what do you think? Is it going to prevent them from drinking?
4) What would you make to decrease the alcoholism? Have you
got some laws to suggest?
