Forum Etudes / Travail : Aide anglais
Bonjour !,
Merci.
Sujet : do you think that parents should interfere with their children's decision ?
the parents often intervene in the life of their children because in a family, it's the parents who are responsible and they were used to making a decisions in their place since their childrhood. now that these children became big, they wish to be more independent.
on one hand, the parents' intervention is reassuring, the children have the impression to be protected and they will never take a bad decision because they want everything for their better. they look forward to participating for their choice for to become good persons. And for it, they think that they have to inculcate them values for succeed in their life. so, the parents are strict and have many requirements, may be too much...
on the other hand, even if their parents would like only the better for their child, they have to let them manage their life for realizing their dream, the children would like more freedom and to be more independent. they blame their parents for being too much on their backside and don't bear that they get involved in their private life, they need more privacy. they can't bear their parents education and don't get on well with them. The children want to convince the parents that they can live, manage and earn their living.
to conclude, i think that parents should interfere with their children's decisions but moderately. i suggest that the children should participate in a program like Erasmus for escape from their parents' way and lear to manage their life. it's brings of maturity and self reliance, culturally enriching and they can improve their linguistic skills.
up.

merci encore ^^
(1) Now that the children are big, they want/wish to be more independant.
On one hand, the parents' intervention is reassuring: the children have the impression to be protected and they will never take a bad decision because their parents want everything for the best.
The parents look forward to participating in the children's choice to help them become good persons.
