Voilà je dois écrire une lettre pour mon cour d'anglais et je souhaiterais que quelqu'un corrige mes fautes
Merci
Dear Julia,
I would like to present you my country in the contents of this letter. First of all, my country extends over a six hundred seventy five thousand four hundred and seventeen square kilometres and is divided into two parts, metropolitan France and the French Overseas departments and territories. Nicolas Sarkozy is the president since 2007, and the colours of my flag are the blue, the white and the red.
The official language of my country is French and our currency is since 2002 the euro. The main religion is the Catholicism. It is one of the countries founders of the European Union.
France is eighteen times as small as your country, Canada, and counts sixty two million people live there.
The France accounts ninety-six departments in metropolitan France. I am situated in the department of the Charente-Maritime, in the region of Poitou-Charente, on the west coast, at the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. This sublime region is specialized in the agriculture what makes main wealth. I live in l’Houmeau. It’s a small village next to La Rochelle, who is one of the most beautiful cities of France. Paris, the capital, is the most populated city. The tourists come to see the tower Eiffel there built by Mr Eiffel on July 1st, 1887. France is rich due to its history which begins in 486 and account of numerous kings as: Clovis, François 1st or the famous Louis sixteen, guillotined in 1791 after the revolution of 1789. Since, we celebrate the storming of the Bastille every July 14th, what makes our national holiday. It is as well in France that we have the most beautiful castles as that of Versailles or that of the Louvre the famous museum which shelters numerous works of art as the Joconde or Victory of Samothrace. Did you know that The Statue of the Freedom was offered in the United States by the Frenchmen in 1886, to commemorate the centenary of the American independence and in sign of friendship between both nations?
So, if you go to France one day, I shall be delighted to receive you at home.
