Today, the world is based on consumption. We must buy for live but must we buy for exist?
As a first step, we will explain the importance of buying into society.
In a second step, we will see the negative consequences of the purchase on the personality.


People consume more and more, it's the development of consumer society. Why people buy ? People buy for live, for comfort, but also to make like everyone else. People are afraid of difference. How can a man who not consume nothing, could fit into today's society ? So to integrate into society, we must consume.
Nowadays, we do not judge people about their personality, but on their property material. Someone who has a car will be better consider that someone who does not have a car. So to be of importance in society, we must buy.
To have a place in society, one should consume. But we never think the wrong side of consumption.

People buy also for look like other person. For exemple, a young person who is fan a singer, will do all for look like her. But too likeness to the other, are not we a pale copy of the other? The influence of society that impels us to buy prevents us from being ourselves.
The consumer society creates a dependency to shops. If trade disappears, many people not would be how to live.


To exist in society, People must consume. But what we buy change our personality for other people. It may then be asked : How are considered the people who subsist at their own needs without consuming ?
