J'ai demain un contrôle en anglais et ça va tomber sur le rêve américain
Alors, j'ai cherché sur Google un petit résumé mais il n'y a que des super longs truc, donc je demande de l'aide!
Si quelqu'un aurait un petit texte (ou lien), en anglais, décrivant un petit peu The American Dream, je le prie de me le faire connaitre.

Salut, ce texte ne viens pas d'un lien internet mais de l'un de mes cours que je suis en ce moment : The american Ideology. Je te rajoute aussi en même temps un peu de mes connaissances sur le sujet pour t'iaider un maximum. je vais essayer de condenser pour ne pas que ce soit trop long quand même.
The american dream unites Americans, it is the main american ideology. The dreams contains various elements, which have shifted in the course of time, but the core remained constant. Although the american ideology is rooted in ideals that were imported by the first Anglo-saxon settlers, it is not an ethnic dream. The american dream is ( thought to be) within reach of all newcomers, whatever their ethnic or religious backgroun.
The american dream is a dream of opportunities. Once the dominant value system was established, it was extended or adapted in consecutive periods.
1) During the first period, from early British settlement to mid-eighteenth-century, the dream was mainly one of the religious freedom and religious opportunities. ==> american dream = religious freedom
2) In the course of the eighteenth century, individual freedom or liberty and political opportunities became the core value.
3)In the nineteenth century, the economic opportunities of unbridled industrial capitalism joined the other values as a source of national pride.
4) Since the WWII, the country has fulfilles a dream of mission, exporting its major values to the rest of the world. Yet, in the course of this period, the A.D came under attack as a privilege that did not apply to all Americans.
Voilà, ce sera peut etre trop long à ton goût mais étudier une notion si vaste ne peut pas se résumer en 3 lignes, voilà donc une description condensé mais qui rassemble tous les principaux éléments du fameux American dream!
