On the monochrome photo, we can see many people in a boat.
The people on the photographs are immigrants who want left their countries poor. And took a clandestine boat to go to America in Ellis Island in order to carry out the American dream. The American dream is the idea according to which no matter who, by his work, his courage and his determination, can become happy. The immigrants travelled under bad conditions.
