By looking at this photo, the elements which strike me are the glance or the expression of the man and the child who put(rest, pose). Indeed, this situation highlights a morbid and strange atmosphere. But the element which affects me most is the weapon clocked(pointed, stuck) at the face of the baby.
My glance was attracted(enticed) at once by the weapon. Not only she(it) is placed in the middle of the advertising poster but in more her(its) black colour stands out(goes out again) on the man’s T-shirt white.
The man adopts a strange attitude, he looks at in a way being wary while pointing his weapon on a baby who seems to be his son. He does not release any sympathy and carries a cold glance on the objective. His wrinkled eyebrows accentuate this glance. He has a beard and a moustache, and his hair is out of brush. As regards the vestimentary style, he wears a white tee-shirt. On this last it wrote "Young Country 105.3 there". He also carries military trousers and a belt which seems black. To finish, we can suspect that he is married since he carries a ring to annular of his left hand.
In my opinion, this man agreed to pose for this photograph as to let it be published because he transmits in an implicit way a message to which he adheres. Personally that would not astonish me that this photograph, in an ironic way, expresses and denounces the child murders which take place in America.
In my point of view, if the man does not have the finger on the trigger (on the trigger) is simply to accentuate the fact that this situation is not at all real and is placed under an ironic tone. In effect, this photography certainly only seeks to transmit a message in an implicit way, in particular concerning the child murders which take place in England or America.
At first sight, the baby would be the son of man who carries it. I think that if as of his youth the baby sees this photograph it will not be shocked by the fact that his/her father points a weapon on him because it is not yet aware at this age of the "cause for purposes". However even if at the beginning it will not be in age to include/understand, it will be able while growing to be afraid of the photograph, to see even clean sound in person father carrying not only one cold and strange glance on the photograph but more especially a weapon tightened him! Thus from this point of view I think that could be traumatisant for the child. However, as soon as it has the age to include/understand more implicit and more complicated things, it will be any more afraid neither of the photograph, nor of its dad, and include/understand whereas it is only for one publicity and that it is not reality, that it is simply by this "shocking" means somewhat that a message is transmitted.
I think that the use of the black and the white has a quite precise goal: to more shock people who see this advertising bill. Indeed, initially the black and the white make it possible to emphasize certain objects on which we must be delayed ; for example the revolver attracts the?il immediately since it is black and is related to a white zone. Moreover the bottom is gray and allows to emphasize the white in particular; for example shoes of the baby but also the tee-shirt of the man. In addition the use of the black and the white respects and is in harmony with the atmosphere of the photograph. Indeed, the black and
the white in particular make think of the posters of search for killers in any kind, where rather often "wanted is written" and I think that it is what with desired making feel the photographer here. To finish, thanks to the use of the black and the white, the sets of lights are more visible; the weapon "shines", the faces appear illuminated and simply not drowned in an ocean of colors.
